Walking ... Americanou's Beach

Dopo diversi giorni di tempo infelice, pioggia con vento gelido, temperature anomale per la stagione, oggi finalmente ecco la tanto agognata uscita.

Avevo da tempo voglia di farlo, raggiungere una delle spiagge più belle di Syros, la Americanou's Beach e la vicina Grammata.

La partenza è da Kampos l'ultimo villaggio a nord dopo Aghio Mihail, lasciare la macchina e intraprendere un sentiero abbastanza facile, con difficoltà minime.

La cosa più importante è l'attrezzatura: scaponcini alti (per la tenuta della caviglia), almeno un bastoncino da walking, un cappello, acqua. Credo che i momenti migliori per fare questa bella escursione sia in periodi non troppo caldi, non ci sono ripari e il sole quando scalda ...

Il percorso è ben segnato, il panorama è veramente straordinario, la vista aperta a 360° vi riempirà gli occhi ed il cuore.

Bisogna considerare circa un'ora di camminata all'andata e altrettanti al ritorno, sarete seguiti dagli sguardi vigili di alcune capre che vi faranno compagnia.

After several days of miserable weather, rain with freezing winds, and abnormal temperatures for the season, today finally came the longed-for outing.

I had been wanting to do it for a long time, to reach one of the most beautiful beaches of Syros, Americanou's Beach and the nearby Grammata.

The departure is from Kampos the last village to the north after Aghio Mihail, leave the car and take a fairly easy path, with minimal difficulty.

The most important thing is the equipment: high boots (for ankle hold), at least one walking stick, a hat, water. I believe that the best time to do this beautiful hike is in periods that are not too hot, there are no shelters and the sun when it gets hot ...

The route is well marked, the panorama is truly extraordinary, the 360° open view will fill your eyes and your heart.

The walk takes about an hour on the outward journey and another hour on the return, and you will be followed by the watchful eyes of some goats who will keep you company.
